Chroma Cloud is a serverless search database built for AI applications. It supports vector search (semantic similarity), full text search (trigram and regex), sparse vector search (BM25, SPLADE), and metadata filtering. The database is built on object storage (S3/GCS) with automatic query aware data tiering and caching, offering low latency queries over billions of multi tenant indexes. It is open source under Apache 2.0 and available as a managed cloud service or self hosted.
