Cozy is a 100% local journal app for macOS and Windows that stores your entries as plain files on your computer. It offers tagging, location, mood tracking, audio/video attachments, and import from Notion, Day One, Obsidian, and Bear. The app includes a full screen writing mode with ambient soundscapes (rain, forest, café, fireplace), calendar and map views to browse entries, and support for any language including right to left scripts. There is no cloud sync, no AI features, and no subscription—a one time purchase of $35 covers all your Mac and Windows devices.
