Both methods perform a single DNS level lookup against a continuously refreshed dataset of over 205,000 disposable domains, returning a verdict (disposable or not) along with optional signals such as undeliverable, relay, public provider, role account, spam risk, and masked routing. Each account has a configurable policy that maps these signals to actions: allow, warn, or block. The platform never enforces actions server side; it returns the action and the form enforces it. The service is designed to fail open, meaning if quota is exceeded or an outage occurs, checks return a safe allow response so signup forms never break.
