iVox is a real time audio wave slicer that recreates the vintage tape editing effects popularized in the 1980s by pioneers like The Latin Rascals, Omar Santana, and Chep Nunez. It allows users to slice audio in real time, apply effects, and create patterns reminiscent of the freestyle, hip hop, and megamix era. The app is currently available for Apple Mac (both Silicon and Intel) and offers features such as slice FXs, auto regions, slice pad control, triplet editing, region shifting, pattern saving and locking, and export settings. A Windows version is in development with a waiting list.
