Juno is a free, open source voice writing app for Mac that provides live transcriptions and clean text output. It runs entirely on device after an initial model download, requiring no internet connection for everyday dictation. Users press a shortcut, speak naturally, and Juno transcribes in real time, filtering out filler words, false starts, and corrections. It can also rewrite selected or recent text based on plain English commands (e.g., "make this warmer"), expand voice snippets, and create Apple Notes, Reminders, and alarms via the "Hey Juno" action phrase. The app works across most Mac text fields, including Mail, Slack, Notes, and Cursor.
