Mathpad is a specialized physical keypad that makes typing mathematical equations as simple as typing regular text. With over 100 mathematical symbols and Greek letters at your fingertips, it eliminates the need to hunt for symbols in clunky pickers, copy paste from the web, or memorize obscure alt codes. Just press a key, and the symbol appears instantly. The keypad supports multiple output modes: plaintext symbols, LaTeX codes, Microsoft Office Equation Editor symbols, and LibreOffice Equation Editor codes, switchable with a key press. It is fully open source (hardware and software) and customizable—users can add their own symbols via simple copy paste or advanced firmware modifications. The firmware is built on QMK, and the keypad uses hot swappable Gateron KS 33 mechanical switches.
