Payam Music is a piano school that uses the Payam Method, a proprietary teaching approach where students learn to play piano using letters and numbers instead of traditional sheet music. The method emphasizes learning through songs students love, with traditional notation and theory introduced later. The school offers private 1:1 lessons both in person at multiple locations and online. According to the website, students typically reach diploma level (the "black belt of piano") in 4 years versus 12 years nationally, and over 90% continue beyond their first year compared to 15 20% in traditional lessons.
