Silkwave Voice is a macOS app that records meetings, lectures, and podcasts (or imports existing audio files) and transcribes them in real time using Apple's on device speech to text models. It supports 10+ languages including Cantonese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The app also offers ChatGPT powered summaries and an AI chat feature via Apple Intelligence, allowing users to ask follow up questions, extract quotes, or draft emails based on the transcript. All processing happens on device, and audio never leaves the Mac.
