LockIn MCP is a system level distraction blocker that integrates with AI tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Instead of relying on a bypassable browser extension, LockIn edits your computer's hosts file to block distracting websites like YouTube, Reddit, and X (Twitter) at the system level. You can ask your AI assistant—whether it's ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, or Poke—to block sites, start focus sessions, or temporarily unblock sites with accountability. The tool also includes a Chrome extension that checks each page against your active focus task, allowing work sites through while blocking others.
